This 1840's limestone farmhouse had a complete makeover after a fire allowing for the house to be gutted, redesigned, and for additions to be added. Working with the charm of the original limestone footprint inspired us to create an inviting open space with rustic elements with a modern twist.
The black custom millwork with black granite gives contrast to the painted white brick behind it and the light neutrals throughout the room. Uplighting the perimeter of the space in an architectural detail creates a sense of ambiance.
The cozy nook is the perfect place to perch with a hot cup of tea and a good book. A wool throw with a lush velvet cushion compliment the warm white tones of the walls and decorative panels.
Wide plank hardwood flooring in a herringbone pattern and uplighting above the rustic wood beams add a contemporary spin on the classic dining room.
The light filled entrance looks onto the center hall where the staircase was originally located.
